About the Round Brilliant Diamond - Setting the standard, this diamond shape is the most popular and one of the most beautiful of all the cuts of diamond. Developed in Europe, the cut has 58-facets divided among its crown (top), girdle (widest part) and pavilion (base) which is calibrated through a precise formula to achieve the maximum shine as the cut naturally follows the rough diamond crystal. The round brilliant cut is perhaps the most versatile of all cuts both in terms of style and value and strikes the ideal balance between cut, colour, clarity, carat and budget.

About the Invisible Setting - Invisible set diamonds are placed very closely together. The 18ct gold metal is concealed underneath the diamonds which gives it the appearance of a continuous, uninterrupted surface. This type of setting is an excellent way to showcase the brilliance of the diamonds, in this case 7 diamonds in total. The setting also allows an increased amount of light to enter the stone and thus giving off more brilliance as there are no prongs or bezels impeding the light's entry. The total weight is this Elizabeth ring is 1.00 carat however the ring setting gives the allusion of a 2.00 carat set ring hence the ultimate sparkle.

Inspiration- Princess Elizabeth’s Diamond Engagement Ring - Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, proposed to Princess Elizabeth with a simple and elegant diamond ring: a 3 carat diamond solitaire flanked on each side by 5 smaller diamonds. The diamonds were taken from a tiara owned by Philip’s mother, Princess Alice. Created by the London jeweller Philip Antrobus, Prince Philip was heavily involved in the design. When presented the ring was a little too big for the princess but was adjusted for the official engagement announcement. The ring is easily spotted whenever you can catch Queen Elizabeth without her trademark gloves on. Amusingly the ring is supposed to be one of the signs her staff watches out for. It is said when she starts twisting it around her finger, the boss has had enough.
