Favourite Summer Scents
Summertime, the perfect time to open all the windows and doors and let the warm sunshine and fresh air in. One of my favourite past times is to stop and admire the beauty of nature, from flowering hydrangeas and lavender to sweet peas and jasmine. I also love to take in all the lovely scents and there is no better than the classic rose and my very favourite peonies.
Both roses and peonies have beautiful scent profiles. Fresh but floral with sweet undertone, peonies are heavily petaled emerging from tight buds in late spring and typically can be found in July and August.
Considered the queen of flowers and favoured by brides in their wedding bouquets, peonies symbolise romance in the west, to honour and prosperity in the east.
